Wickedly cool work... love the way the colors all come together, leaves a very nice effect. Just love the way you did the buildings. (the tinfoil fits in so well too!)

One word of advice though, you may want to resize the images for better viewing. Usually the width should be below 1200 pixels, maybe less to get the whole thing full screen. With what you have now, it is hard for many viewers to see the image in its whole besides the preview. It also deters viewers who have slow internet connections, cause 2.6 megs of an image can take a while to get without broadband.

Other than that, awesome

I think this is my favorite piece on here, but I'd definitely like to see it in-person, as the level of detail seems extraordinary. I showed this to my friend Anna today, and only just noticed your trick with the arrows. The composition is terrific, with the wall-esque structure winding through the right half, and the shell/eye structures seem very three-dimensional to me, but I lack the mental capacity to explain how. Oh yeah, and the color scheme is very starry night-like and kickass.

In any case, I'm a fan.

And yeah, obviously I don't know how to resize images either... Hopefully it's better that way.

I agree with Matt, I would love to see this in person. The texture created is extremely interesting. I like composition too, the colors used, the cityscape in the background. There's a combonation of organic and man-made shapes (if thats understandable) in this piece that give it an interesting effect too. lovely!

Aha! you cannot fool me! I know that piece anywhere... I only sat next to it for perhaps weeks...

hi abby ;)

This is weirdly interesting. The texture is beautiful, and thelonger you look at this the more details you begin to notice and pick up on. I also really like the arrows and lines that sort of guide you through the composition. Although, I have to agree this is probably something you'd have to see in person to get the best effect.

One technical question, how did you go about applying the foil - is it actual foil like you buy at the grocery?
:iconseoyoun:
Thanks! And yep good 'ol tin foil. Applied it with diluted heavy mat gold gloss if I recall correctly.
